High Fire Danger Prompts Statewide Fire Restrictions

Current and forecasted weather conditions coupled with extremely dry conditions throughout the state of Utah, have created hazardous fire conditions. Fire restrictions are in effect for all state and federal lands, and all unincorporated private lands. The restrictions will be in place until the fire hazard subsides.

- No open fires, except campfires built within facilities built for them in improved campgrounds, picnic areas or permanently improved places of habitation.

- No smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle ot building, a developed recreation site or while stopped in an area of at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared to mineral soil.

- No discharging, or using any kind of fireworks, tracer ammunition or other pyrotechnic devices.
