Jurassic Journey: Science, Programming and Partnerships at the Hanksville-Burpee Quarry

The Southeastern Chapter of the Utah Friends of Paleontology welcome Scott Williams of the Burpee Museum of Natural History in Rockford, IL, who will be giving a presentation on the museum's work at the Hanksville-Burpee Quarry for the past 5 years. The Hanksville-Burpee Quarry is located on BLM land near Hanksville, Utah, in the Morrison Formation, which is 145-150 million years old (Jurassic Period). Both meat- and plant-eating dinosaurs have been discovered at this site.

This talk will be Wednesday, May 29th, at 6:30 PM at the Grand County Public Library in Moab (257 E Center St.). The presentation is free and open to the public.
