Rank: Beautiful Mug
This is my all-time favorite mug. Owning a recreation of black-on-white Anasazi stoneware in the form of this mug is wonderful if you are a fan of ancient pottery. The mug is medium-sturdy, but not child-proof. It will survive a fall on carpet, but not on anything harder. It holds 14 ounces (414 ml) at the lip, and is dishwasher and microwave safe as advertised. The mug is 2&15/16" (7.5 cm) wide across the top, and 3&7/8" (9.8 cm) wide across the base. The mug is produced by The Treasure Chest located in Las Cruces, NM. The pattern numbers are marked on the underside. I own patterns 7 and 18, and plan to collect more. This mug (pictured) with the argyle diamonds on the handle is pattern #7. Highly recommended. May 24, 2011
