Community Artist in the Parks Antonio SavareseAntonio’s goal as Community Artist in the Parks has been to paint images that make people say “I’d love to be there,” followed by a visceral sense of “Thank God it is there.” As Ed Abbey says, “We need wilderness whether or not we ever set foot in it.”

The Communtiy in the Parks program was created in 2009 as a way to highlight the connection between local artists and the landscapes of Arches and Canyonlands national parks and Hovenweep and Natural Bridges national monuments. For more information, visit the Community Artist in the Parks web page.
